About Us

  • Provides communication to agencies named in Reading First Plan, and forwards information from Reading First LEAs to C-TAC and State.
  • Promotes and uses technology to support regional services to Reading First LEAs (as needed).
  • Coordinates and holds training workshops, and coordinates with C-TAC (when instructors and resources are needed).
  • Coordinates and supports the use of state provided unit assessments, other state recommended assessments, and end-of-year outcome assessments.
  • Advises Reading First LEAs on authorized providers to deliver teacher institutes (AB 466 and advanced trainings) and principal institutes (AB 75 Module I).
  • Meets with LEAs to discuss ways information and resource materials related to the Assurances can be used to reinforce LEAs' Reading First Plan.
  • Participates in all specialized trainings, and informs Reading First LEAs of services based on these trainings.
  • Schedules regional meetings and establishes meeting agendas on Reading First LEA specified needs.
  • Provides Reading First LEA assistance in evaluation design, data collection, analysis, data reporting, and decision-making; assists providers of AB 466 and AB 75 with internal evaluation reports to CDE; and assists LEAs if selected for special evaluation study by USDE.
  • Conducts satisfaction survey for service delivery, product distribution, and use of resource materials for state evaluation report and logs all services provided.
